Why Evangelize in the St Patricks Day Parade?
- St Patricks Day started as a religious feast day, celebrated in Church with a Mass.
- Using these feast days as opportunities for evangelization will help Christians win back the culture for Christ.
- St Patrick was Irelands great evangelist, we can follow in his footsteps by evangelizing at his parade.
- As Christians we are joyful because Christ redeemed us from our sins. The parade is an opportunity for us to share that joy with others.
- Its a public event a way that we can let our light shine before men as the gospel compels us to do.
- The St Patricks Day Parade in Raleigh was started by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a group that was formed to defend and protect the Catholic Church.
