Karen Matthews is the Executive Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She began evangelizing her Catholic faith on the Internet in 2002 and in 2003 spearheaded the formation of a religious nonprofit organization to help spread the faith to the unchurched and those interested in learning more about Catholicism. She is a member of St. Stephen the First Martyr parish in Sanford, North Carolina. She is married and has five children. She has a bachelor's degree in English and works as a technical writer for a pharmaceutical company. Leigh Anne Hansen is the Fundraising Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She joined as Fundraising Director at the onset of the organization in 2002. Leigh Anne is a member of St. Gabriel's parish of McKinney, TX where she started the church's gift shop and continues to run it as a profit center. She is also an active Vincentian with the St. Vincent De Paul Society, where she funnels the proceeds of her gift shop ministry. She is a single mother with two children and runs her own Food Brokerage Company. Ron Phillips is the Director of Church Tours. He is a member of St. Luke's parish, Raleigh, North Carolina. He and his wife Letty have 3 grown children: Jill, Chris, and Mark - all of whom live in North Carolina. Ron is an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, a Eucharistic Minister, and the leader of a Marian/Charismatic prayer group which is now in its 14th year. Ron has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Manhattan College, NY, is retired from IBM Corp., and is currently employed as a project manager consultant. Bobbie Ann Boyce is Youth Outreach Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She is a member of St. Mary of the Mount Parish in Pittsburgh, PA, and serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She is married and has one son. She has a masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and works for Child Protective Services. Mike Beloud is the Director of Music of One Bread Lay Apostolate. He converted to Catholicism in 2000 after years of fancying himself an atheist. Mike is one of the founding members of the Catholic rock music ministry known as “Rise.” Rise has performed throughout the United States and was invited to perform in Cologne, Germany for World Youth Day in August 2005. Mike has been a member of the Los Angeles Police Department since 1989. Mike grew up and still lives in the Los Angeles area. He has been married to his wife Anh since 1992 and they have two children, Christopher and Ashley. Mike is also one of the founding partners of World Youth Day Radio, www.WYDRadio.com Robert P. Dear, Sr. is the Community Resource Specialist for Personal Healthcare Inc. located in Raleigh, N.C.. He is a member of St. Luke The Evangelist Catholic Church in North Raleigh. Presently, he is host of forty-one family members from the Katrina Hurricane. Through St. Luke Church parish, he and the members has organized a relief effort through thirty volunteer host families. He and his wife Brenda has four children ages ten, thriteen, fourteen, and twenty. Robert has worked with the Diocese of New Orleans for a total of ten years. The Father-Son Program, Marriage Preparation, and the Archbishops' Advisory Council are a few of the programs he participates in to serve God's people. Loretta Zavarella is the Secretary of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She also supplies rosaries for the rosary apostolate and many books and pamphlets that One Bread gives away for free. She lives in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada, is married and has three children. Loretta is a member of the Church of the Incarnation and also attends St Francis Xavier in Stoney Creek. She sells educational toys and home decorating items and cares for children in her home. Debra Davenport is the Protestant Outreach Director for One Bread. She has been a board member since it's inception in 2002. Debra, a lifelong Catholic, is married to Perry, who converted to Catholicism in the year 2000. They've just had their sixth child and they home school. The Davenports are members of Annunciation of the Lord Church in Decatur AL, where Debra is involved in the music ministry when she's not busy taking care of her young children. Teresa Larson is the Volunteer Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She is currently a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Community in Plano, TX. She is married with two young girls, age 5 and 6. She works flexible hours for Pizza Hut Headquarters, serves as a board member on her neighborhood's Homeowners Association, and volunteers at her children's school, assisting the teachers. Gloria Thomason is the Parish Communications Director for One Bread Lay Apostolate. She is a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Birmingham, AL where she co-leads a bible study group. She is married and has four sons. She has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, but currently enjoys be a homemaker. Joan Rivers is the Director of Finances for One Bread Lay Apostolate. She is a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Raleigh, N.C., where she is in a bible study group. She is married and has three children and two grandchildren. She has a teaching degree in high school Mathematics and home schools her younger two children. Robert S. Gunner is the Director of Advertising for One Bread Lay Apostolate. He is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Homewood, AL. He has a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and works for Rogers & Strong Advertising in Birmingham, AL. Colleen Gunner is the Speakers Bureau Director of One Bread Lay Apostolate. She attends church in the Atlanta Archdiocese in Georgia at the Cathedral of Christ the King parish, where she serves as a member of the pro-life committee and as a Eucharistic Adoration guardian. She is a public school teacher presently serving her 18th year in Business Education in middle grades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and is currently working towards her master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Brendan Nwachukwu Agu is the Database Manager for One Bread Lay Apostolate. He is a member St John's Parish of Port Harcourt Diocese of Nigeria. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUTECH), Enugu State, Nigeria. Brendan just finished National Youths Service Corps program and is yet to secure an employment. Mary Cravens is the Publicity Director for One Bread Lay Apostolate. She is a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church parish in Garner, NC. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in a marketing. Mary works for The News & Observer Publishing Company in Raleigh, North Carolina. Monte Waddill is the Protestant Clergy Liaison for One Bread Lay Apostolate. After 18 years as a Southern Baptist pastor he became a Catholic. This was the result of years of study, prayer and discipleship in seeking to be obedient to Christ. He is married, has two teenage children, and lives in York, SC. He is a graduate of Mercer University and has a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Presently he is employed as a truck driver and travels across the Eastern United States. Timothy Guile is the Director of Prison Ministry for One Bread Lay Apostolate. Tim is a member of Maehara Catholic Church in Okinawa, Japan, as well as an active member of the Cursillo Movement in Japan. A professor at one of the universities there, he is a writer as well as a teacher. He and his wife Gisela have three children.
